2015-Emmy-Awards-67th-Primetime-Emmy-Award-Nominations-AnnouncedFoo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl admitted in the media last month that he was a bit under pressure of media, fans’ expectations as well as his one ambitions, as to whether they would get the awards they were nominated for at Emmy Awards 2015 for their latest video effort, HBO documentary series Sonic Highways. Now Grohl can leave his social anxiety behind as the band took home two Emma awards for Sonic Highways, namely, “Outstanding Sound Editing For Nonfiction Programming (Single Or Multi-Camera)” and “Outstanding Sound Mixing For Nonfiction Programming (Single Or Multi-Camera).”

The documentary followed the release of Foo album Sonic Highways. Foo Fighters traveled the country with the tour and then turned their rock-talent-search experience on the road into an engaging documentary series.

Not only is the extremely positive feedback on Sonic Highways series received from the Emmy commitee and Foo fans, but even from the legendary music stars. During his recent dinner with Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, Grohl heard to his great surprise that Ringo Starr enjoyed their TV series, especially the Washington D.C. episode. So even if Foo Fighters do not receive the awards in any of those nominations, the band can already feel like the biggest rock stars ever, as The Beatles themselves gave them two thumbs up.
