Dead By April took an unusual approach of playing the new album The Affliction almost in its entirety
This past Friday, February 2, Dead By April took to the stage of compact Tavastia club to present their just-released album The Affliction to the Finnish audience. Preceding the headliner, Swedish modern rockers Self Deception warmed up the crowd, followed by a heavy metalcore act from Finland, One Morning Left.
When Dead by April jumped onto the platforms of Tavastia stage, they got on with the songs of their new album The Affliction straight away. ‘Everest’ opened the live set, and six more tracks off of The Affliction soon followed, including recently released singles ‘Break My Fall’ and ‘Dreamlike’. Despite the record only having been launched a week before that, January 26, the band made a brave decision to focus on presenting their new songs rather than delivering fans’ all-time favorites. So ‘What Can I Say’ and the closing ‘Losing You’ obviously stirred up the crowd, hungry to hear DBA’s iconic tracks live.
