The colorful-shirt guy James, who you saw on Netflix, had his metal dream come true
If you’ve watched Netflix’s reality show ‘Love on the Spectrum’, you will definitely remember its autism-spectrum star James B. Jones. Keen on bright patterned shirts and Renaissance Faire stuff, he found his love on the TV program with Shelley Wolfe on Season 3, which aired this year. James, who describes himself as a “proud nerd”, turned out to be a huge metal fan, too. He has taken to Instagram to share an unforgettable moment: him and Shelley meeting his icons, Disturbed.

The Netflix star publicly shared a video of him meeting his longtime favorites, Disturbed, at one of the shows on their tour leg The Sickness 25th Anniversary Tour back in March. “It was amazing to be able to meet a band who was hugely inspirational, to me, in my adolescent years,” James wrote in the captions for the video clip from the VIP meet and greet on March 14 in Boston.
It was the fourth time the man went to see Disturbed live, but this time was special. James brought his girlfriend Shelley to the gig, as well as to the meet and greet with the musicians. Disturbed might not be among Shelley’s music idols but meeting the band meant a lot for both. Before posing for a photo with David Draiman & co., James took a moment to tell the band how much they had influenced his teen years. He opened up that he was only 13 when Disturbed released their sensational debut 2000′ album, The Sickness.

‘Love on the Spectrum’ seems to have encouraged many of its participants to make their dreams come true. This month another show star, Tanner Smith, appeared on Kelly Clarkson’s show and got to meet his idol Jack Black. Tanner was on cloud nine and said it was the best day of his life.
