The 1975 No Rome Narcissist

The 1975 had been teasing this exciting collaboration since May

August 28, 2018

Back in May The 1975 singer Matt Healy started teasing the band’s upcoming collaboration with Philippine musician No Rome in a series of tweets. Now, finally, the result of this fruitful collaboration is out, and it’s a new single ‘Narcissist’. Be sure to give it a listen below.

‘Narcissist’ premiered on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show on Tuesday, August 28. It’s the final single from No Rome’s debut EP, titled RIP Indo Hisahsi. You might wonder what brought the Philippine artist and The 1975 together? Easy! The guys are actually labelmates! No Rome told Lowe how he decided to collaborate with Healy (via Alternative Press):
“It kind of just happened when I made the song. I made a demo and then I sent it over to Matty. Because we were listening to the stuff that I’ve been working on recently. I sent him over that track and he also fell in love with it.”
According to No Rome, both he and The 1975 are in Los Angeles right now, finalizing “both records,” referring also to the upcoming, highly anticipated record from Healy and co., titled A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships. Previously, in May, The 1975 frontman had told Beats 1 that Rome was a muse for them in the studio when they were working on the new album.
