Brand New are now offering their leaked 2006 demos, initially available for purchase on an audio cassette, as a free download

Brand New are now officially sharing their leaked 2006 demos as a free download. The guys are re-stocking the collection of their early tracks on a good old audio cassette, so if you wish to get the demos, you may download the demos for free or purchase a cassette at Procrastinate! Music Traitors website. Brand New initially released their demos on December 2, releasing the collection on a limited edition red cassette, which included a digital download card. Now the band allows the tracks as a free dowload for everyone.
The official message from the band, accompanying the initial cassette release reads:
As of now, this is the only official release of Brand New’s Leaked Demos from 2006… All cassettes are red and come with a digital download.

Brand New started writing the material for their fifth studio album already back in 2009, soon after the release of album Daisy, which was at first rumoured to be their last studio effort. The frontman Jesse Lacey initially stated that he believed Daisy “was like the end of a road” and said the new material should take a new experimental direction. In April 2012, Brand New did enter the studio but instead of the group’s next record concentrated on personal projects during that time. The officially announcement that writing and recording new music does take place came on 19 June 2014, together with the group’s announcement that they are building their own recording studio.
