The Virginmarys have premiered ‘Into Dust’ music video, placing the band into the center of ‘the universe’

February 2, 2016

The Virginmarys, a three-piece rock act from Macclesfield, England, have released their new music video for ‘Into Dust’. The single itself dropped at the end of last year and is now accompanied by a video, which you can watch below. The clip was directed by Surdevan Creative, who previously worked with the band on ‘Just a Ride’ music video.

The video shows the band in the center of a dark room with brightly lit marbles moving around them, resembling stars in the universe. “The song ‘Into Dust’ showcases some of the urgency, anger, disillusionment, energy, and drive from the forthcoming new album”, The Virginmarys’ frontman Ally Dickaty told Yahoo (via Loudwire). “We felt a video would best convey those same things with a live performance, so we decided to again collaborate with Surdevan Creative for this project after previously working with them for our ‘Just a Ride’ video.” You can get ‘Into Dust’ single via iTunes.

The Virginmarys were formed in 2009, and started out with several EPs, followed by their full-length debut album, King of Conflict, released in February 2013. The same year they took home the award for Best Breakthrough Act, and nominated for Album Of The Year at the Classic Rock Awards. In addition, the record was selected as Editors Choice by iTunes US, while singles ‘Bang Bang Bang’ and ‘Just A Ride’ became iTunes Singles Of The Week.

The band is continuing to work on a new album, the details of which will be revealed later. Meanwhile, The Virginmarys are getting ready to hit the road in the US in March as an opening act for Shinedown. You can check out their upcoming tour dates below.
