Kyle Falconer believes he’s got to listen to his loved ones – the singer will go to Thailand to get treatment

The View singer, Kyle Falconer, has decided that his wedding celebration can wait and that he needs to battle his addictions first. Falconer and his fiancée Laura Fraser were planning to get married this August, but the singer decided it’s much wiser to enter a rehab in the first place and get intensive treatment.
“You’ve got to listen to your loved ones. If they say you have a problem, you need to hear that. This is my last chance, I think,” Falconer said.
The frontman will undergo rehab treatment in Thailand, just like co-frontman of the Libertines’ Pete Doherty did last year. Falconer’s fiancée will go to Thailand with him to support him through the treatment procedure at the Chang Mai center. The course lasts a minimum of two months (56 days). At the rehab centrer the singer will have to wake up at 7:30, do physical exercises in the morning and follow curfew rules in the evening.
Falconer unveiled in an interview with The Sunday Mail: “I know for a fact I have a problem. But it’s hard to bite your tongue sometimes and straight away I start blaming everyone else. I say ‘They’re as bad as me’, but they’re not the people needing to go to rehab.”
In case you haven’t heard about Falconer’s blackouts, additions and behavior issues, the singer has long had a problem with drink and drugs and has even been tested for bi-polar disorder. He also can’t remember his behaviour from the day before. The 29-year-old rocker hit the bottom this past June, when he was removed from a flight from Spain to Britain and got arrested.
“I’ve been in denial so long, I’m used to saying, ‘It’s not me, I was just drunk.’ So I was never even apologetic as I couldn’t remember doing anything,” The View’s frontman admits. “Being told the next day what you’ve been up to, it’s not normal. And I go to extremes. I’ve tried everything – I’ve been on medication, I’ve been tested for bipolar. I just don’t know what’s wrong with me.”
