Frontman Rob Damiani admits “it’s one of the most emotional songs on the record”

Don Broco’s previous record, Automatic, stormed the UK musicians to the Top 10 album chart, and the upcoming third album, Technology, has all the potential to do so too. The up-and-rising band has just dropped a live music video for another track from the new album – ‘T-Shirt Song’. Watch it below!

When introducing the track, frontman Rob Damiani admitted it was a very emotional song for him but life-asserting in the end.

“It’s one of the most emotional songs on the record, inspired by a close friend who had just been through a dark break-up,” Damiani explains. “While writing the song it was also a difficult time for me emotionally, and one night I found myself in a club where the DJ was playing the Baywatch theme tune. Anyone who’s been to a cheesy club night will know this is the moment everyone takes off their T-shirt and swings it round their head. I didn’t really feel like it, but I joined in and as stupid as it sounds it really made me feel better. That was the start of the process by which I came to realise there was light at the end of the tunnel. This song is about going through hell and coming out the other side stronger for it.“ (via Vents Magazine)

‘T-Shirt Song’ is now available for a free download if you pre-order the new album. It’s the band’s fifth track released off the upcoming record. Earlier Don Broco had premiered ‘Stay Ignorant’, ‘Pretty’, ‘Everybody’ and the album’s title track, ‘Technology’.

The album was inspired by various things: from the impressions from their world tour ‘¥’ to the consequences of the Brexit campaign; from the topics of personal privacy vs. constant surveillance to relationship issues.

To celebrate the upcoming release, on November 11, Don Broco will be playing a show at London’s Alexandra Palace. Besides, today the group has announced a UK headline tour through February 2018. See the tour dates below. Fans have access to purchasing tickets first with pre-orders of Technology. General sale launches on November 3 on the band’s official website.
