NICKELBACK have shared a bank robbery adventure video for ‘Get ‘Em Up’, “a metaphor from an instance early on” in Chad Kroeger’s life

Nickelback are back in the public eye of rock scene with a new single plus a music video for ‘Get ‘Em Up’, the track from their latest album to date, No Fixed Address.

The story of the new Nickelback video revolves around the adventures of two pals planning to rob a bank. However, the lyrics and the visual depict that suddenly things go wrong and not according to the initial plan. The story stops at the dramatic point, hinting at TV-series-like “to be continued”. Let’s see if the future Nickelback video picks up the baton of ‘Get ‘Em Up’.

In Loudwire’s interview last fall Nickelback frontman, Chad Kroeger, admitted, “I’ve always wanted to write a song about a bank robbery. If I couldn’t be involved in a bank robbery, I gotta write a good one. My band members still haven’t figured out that this is a metaphor from an instance early on in my life.”

‘Get ‘Em Up’, featured on the latest No Fixed Address album, is the successor to the previously released singles from the record – ‘Edge of a Revolution,’ ‘What Are You Waiting For?,’ ‘Million Miles an Hour’ and ‘She Keeps Me Up.’

As you might have already heard, Nickelback had to cancel the rest of tour dates this summer after Chad Kroeger was diagnosed with a cyst on a voice box. The vocalist will soon undergo surgery. So far, the band still keeps their fall dates in Europe, but their U.S. fans will have to wait at least until next year.
