A Perfect Circle have made our day perfect today. First, they have announced the release of their 14-year-awaited fourth album, titled Eat the Elephant. Second, this news droped together with the debut of their new song, ‘TalkTalk’. And, finally, they have published the list of new U.S. tour dates in addition to previously announced festival appearances.

Maynard James Keenan and Co. are to release the new album on April 20 via BMG, and it marks their first record since 2004’s eMOTIVe. In addition to new tracks, a couple of earlier singles, ‘The Doomed’ and ‘Disillusioned,’ have also landed on Eat The Elephant. The record also features a song from Douglas Adams with a peculiar title ‘So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish.’ One of the upcoming album tracks is ‘TalkTalk’, which you can enjoy below:

The release date of A Perfect Circle’s highly anticipated album wasn’t a random choice: April 20 is the birthday of Carina Round, the singer who tours with Keenan’s other band, Puscifer. Here is how eloquently Keenan dedicated the album release to his bandmate:

“Although I’m extremely excited to finally be completing this album after a 14-year hiatus, I’m actually more excited that its intentional release date is serving a greater purpose. The 20th of April is Carina Round’s birthday. She is a dear friend who is extremely difficult to shop for. Pressure off. Of course, I must also note that the potheads are gonna be thrilled that this album comes out on 4/20. May it serve as a glorious soundtrack to accompany all of the giggling and vexing sounds of nibbling and snacking. Fingers crossed, Cheech & Chong will be proud.”
