Daughtry-Torches-videoDaughtry have recently returned with a new song, ‘Torches’, accompanied by the lyric video (see below). At the end of February the rockers also finished shooting the official music video for the single, which will be released soon. Meanwhile, you can check out the photos Daughtry members took while making the video to have an idea what the clip will be like.

‘Torches’ is the lead single from the band’s upcoming compilation album. On February 12, the band is releasing compilation album It’s Not Over… The Hits, featuring the band’s best tracks till this day. It will include hits from all four studio albums plus two new songs.

Daughtry-Torches-video3Daughtry are also recording a professional video with in-depth interviews of all band members, where they recollect their 10-year experience in Daughtry and the most memorable moments in the band’s life. The interview video will be supposedly launched together with It’s Not Over… The Hits release.

Daughtry are also reportedly planning their next full-length album to be released in 2016, so it’s a lot going on in the band’s life in 2016. Nevertheless, the rockers still manage to find free time to participate in other projects and events at the same time. Frontman Chris Daughtry will appear on FOX channel next Thursday, February 18 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) to perform a duo with one of the semi-finalists of the Farewell Season of American Idol.

Daughtry-Torches-video2In addition, Chris has recently been cast as Judas in the FOX live musical version of The Passion, a two-hour show, which will be broadcast live on March 20.  The role of Jesus Christ went to singer/songwriter Jencarlos Canela, Telenovela‘s star. The Passion is the creation of Peter Barsocchini, renowned for High School Musical. The piece tells the story of the final hours of Jesus’ life through music. The whole happenning will unfold in New Orleans and will include a procession of hundreds of people carrying a twenty-foot illuminated cross from Superdome to the Woldenburg Park stage by Mississippi River, details TV Line.
