Well, it isn’t in any way jaw-dropping that most awards went to already-everyone’s-favorites Post Malone and Billie Eilish. To be more precise, Post Malone made history, winning a mindboggling nine awards. But who are the renowned BBMA winners in the Rock categories this year?

Those with the highest hopes! By that we mean Panic! At The Disco beat their opponents once again. Last year’s winner for their triumphant track ‘High Hopes’ took home the Top Rock Song award the second time in a row with ‘Hey Look Ma, I Made It’. It is the first act to win Top Rock Song twice since the BBMAs were relaunched. Among the band’s rivals were Imagine Dragons and twenty one pilots for two tracks, ‘The Hype’ and ‘Chlorine’.

But if you are convinced that Billboard Music Awards are too pop-driven, you’ll be surprised to find out another important rock trophy went to the conceptual guys from Tool! The band got the award in Top Rock Album category for their highly acclaimed record Fear Inoculum. However, such legendary acts as Metallica and The Rolling Stones, nominated twice (Top Rock Tour and Top Touring Artist), left empty-handed. The respective awards landed in the hands of Elton John and Pink.
