Living life to the full and a touch of self-irony lead the music video for ‘Undone’

Canadian pop-punk/hardcore guys Calling All Captains aren’t being idle this summer. They’ve just launched an energetic single and music video, titled ‘Undone’. Filmed by Alan Bremner, the head-banging mood of the video makes the song freedom-filled and more aggressive visually.

‘Undone’ is a lightning bolt of in-your-face fun and life-assertiveness. In the video, we see band members Luc Gauthier (vocals), Brad Bremner (guitar/vocals), Connor Dawkins (guitar/vocals), Nick Malychuk (bass) and Tim Wilson (drums) singling along and jumping together in the desert and on top of the rocks. Our favorite part is the sudden scenes of the vocalist having a classical cup of tea, standing on top of the rocks, as if it’s nothing extraordinary.

Despite climbing the rocks in the video, Calling All Captains are sure «Not every hill is worth dying on». “‘Undone’ was written about that person in your life that makes everything about them and takes no responsibility for their own actions,” they said in an interview with BrooklynVegan. “Those kind of narcissists eventually expose themselves for who they really are and end up with nothing left after everyone else catches on to their charade».

«Sometimes all you can do is be the bigger person and walk away from the situation. Not every hill is worth dying on. The less you fight back, the less power you give them over you. Remember to trust your gut and stand by your values and you’ll prevail through their bitterness and aggression,” they conclude.

‘Undone’ follows their successful release of the single ‘Tailspin’, which came out in May 2021. Check out the latest work below and tell us if you’ve enjoyed the track and accompanying video on AlteRock Facebook and AlteRock Twitter!
