NHL has inked two-year partnership with Green Day and will broadcast many of their new songs in the upcoming season

Green Day surely know when to «fire» the second single from their upcoming album, Father of All Motherfuckers. The new song with a highly competitive title ‘Fire, Ready, Aim’ will air during a video montage ahead of a National Hockey League game.

According to the NHL, Green Day perfectly suit for the league games and shooting the video was «so much fun» for both sides:

“Green Day is the perfect band for the NHL. Their music fits so perfectly with the energy, speed and power that we witness on the ice and each and every night,” Steve Mayer, the NHL Chief Content Officer and Executive Vice President, said. “We are so excited to start this partnership with the NBC Sports open. It was so much fun to shoot and we think our fans will love it.”

The song marks Green Day’s two-year “cross-platform marketing and promotional” partnership with the NHL, according to the press release. Later on into the season the NHL will feature various tracks from Father Of All… on game highlights, campaigns and on jumbotrons in NHL arenas, as Loudwire reports. Not to mention, we’ll see a LOT of Green Day live performances soon.
