With such lineup, the tour promises to be LEGEN-wait-for-it-DARY

System of a Down have announced three huge North American stadium shows for next year, each co-headlined with an iconic metal band. On vocals in System of a Down – the one and only Serj Tankian, who, following health and in-band issues, still chose to remain in the band.

The shows in question will run from August 28 to September 3. On each night the audience will get to see one of the major co-headliners: Korn, Avenged Sevenfold or Deftones. The opening acts for all three shows are progressive instrumentalists Polyphia and up-and-coming nu-gazers Wisp.

The artist pre-sale starts Wednesday (Dec 11). Soon afterwards, on Thursday (Dec 12) a Live Nation pre-sale will be launched – both at noon local time, using the code JOY. General sale is to kick off on Friday (Dec 13) at noon local time via Ticketmaster.

Musically, System of a Down have been low-key for a very long time: their last new album was released almost two decades ago. From time to time fans get the privilege of catching the legendary band live. In 2024, SOAD played two shows: Sick New World festival last spring and a gig at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco with their longtime besties, Deftones.
