November 25, 2015
Eagles Of Death Metal have been interviewed for the first time regarding Paris attack at Le Bataclan club in Paris. where the group was performing that night. Though there was an official statement from the band members shortly after the mass shooting at the club, the musicians, who made it out alive, had never publicly spoken about it until VICE interviewed them recently.
On the night of November 13, Le Bataclan theater was attacked by terrorists, who shot down at least 89 people. In total 130 people were killed in multiple terror attacks that night in Paris. All of the members of Eagles Of Death Metal are alive, but the tradegy unfolding in front of their eyes has shaken them to the core. No wonder in the interview the musicians get emotional, breaking down in tears while going through the horror of that night in their memory.
Some fans made it into the band’s dressing room but none of them got out alive. “The killers were able to get in and killed every one of them, except for a kid who was hiding under my leather jacket,” reveals frontman Jesse Hughes, unable to hold his tears.
