FOO FIGHTERS made a fan’s dream to play on the drums with them come true, when Dave Grohl invited him onstage to be their drummer on ‘Big Me’ in Toronto

Dave GrohlDave Grohl, whose broke his leg hasn’t affected his will and determination to go on with the tour, was rocking the recent show in Toronto when he invited a fan to join the band onstage and play drums on ‘Big Me.’ Why drums and why that particular fan? Grohl saw an 18-year-old fan in the crowd who came to the show with a sign, reading, “It’s my birthday, can I play drums?” So the frontman decided to let Anthony Bifolchi’s birthday wish come true. Well, in fact, Grohl also made a warning to the lucky fan from his stage throne: “If you suck on the drums, I will personally tar and feather your ass backstage.”

When the fan took his position behind the drum kit, he asked the band to play ‘Best of You’ but Dave Grohl didn’t satisfy his request, saying, “That’s the last one we’re gonna play tonight, ding dong!” Foo Fighters finally chose to play ‘Big Me’ and warned the young drummer that he’d better be good, because “It’s the easiest one. If you f–k this up, you’re gonna look like a total f–king asshole,” Grohl threatened.

The fan didn’t disappoint neither the band nor the audience. He was doing a good job on the drums with only slight mistakes and then rounded the song off with a solid drum fill. When the track was over, Anthony hugged each member of the band – that’s when Grohl called him a “stalker”, and then returned to his spot in the audience.

Foo Fighters are now the middle of their tour in support of Sonic Highways album. Check out their tour dates on the official website.
