We’ll see Brendon Urie on Broadway this summer as Charlie Price

April 11, 2017

Brendon Urie can cross out one important thing off his bucket list: his dream to perform on Broadway is about to come true! Panic! At The Disco’s frontman will put on those kinky boots and play the part of Charlie Price in Broadway’s ‘Kinky Boots’ this summer!

Urie began teasing the news already yesterday, by posting a pic of the Broadway curtain with the line from his song: “Lost a bet to a guy in a Chiffon skirt…” These are lyrics of Panic!’s track “Don’t Threaten Me with a Good Time” from the latest album, and the line continues with the words: “But I make these high heels work.”

And ‘Kinky Boots’ will give Urie this long-awaited chance to “make these high heels work”. In the video announcement Urie says:

“I’m very excited to announce that I’m joining the cast of Kinky Boots this summer on Broadway. That’s crazy to say because it’s been on my bucket list for the longest time, and it really is a dream come true,” the singer admits. “Plus you guys get to see me in those heels now, so that’s pretty cool. I really hope you guys make it out.”

See Urie talk about his upcoming role on Broadway in the Twitter video below.

Panic! At The Disco’s current tour Death Of A Bachelor is about to finish soon, with only 4 dates left to go (check them out below), so Urie will have a month or so to focus on his big role as Charlie Price.
