“In a moment you can be transported… to another dimension entirely”, Creeper say of the magic effect they try to reach on the album
After a chain of teasers, Creeper have finally announced the release date for their upcoming record. The new studio album, boldly titled Sex, Death & the Infinite Void, will be out May 22. The band has also made an announcement of a short tour in the UK – see the dates below.
Creeper rounded 2019 off with the release of the album’s first single ‘Born Cold’. The song is extremely atmospheric and showcases a huge step forward for the band towards the era of the new sound. Remind yourself of the dark track with the music video below.

Prior to the announcement, Creeper had teased their fans with a series of mysterious teasers. See their teasing Twitter post below.
As for the “mission” of the album Sex, Death & The Infinite Void, the group’s singer Will Gould says:
“The real-life time travel that music can achieve is almost supernatural,” he says in a press release. “In a moment you can be transported from a bedroom in the south of England to another dimension entirely. With our latest album, we attempted to perform a similar magic.”
The artwork is also something to behold, and Gould reveals how the concept came to him from his memories of discovering music as a child:
“The concept behind the artwork came to me when I was considering the ways I first discovered music. Both Ian Miles and I have similar stories of discovering our parents’ records. Holding in our hands these battered relics of the past, playing them for the first time and experiencing the magic of them coming to life over the speaker.”
You can preorder the new album on January 15 right here.
Creeper have also announced a small UK tour run titled God Can’t Save Us. Joined by Holding Absence and Wargasm, the band will set out on April 12 in Leeds. Pre-sale of tickets launches Jan 16, and general sale begins Jan 20.
