The “Trent Reznor-approved” band’s fifth album is believed to be the most violent to date

LA-based band HEALTH, consisting of Jake Duzsik (vocals/guitar), John Famiglietti (bass/producer), and BJ Miller (drums), is prepping to drop their fifth album, Rat Wars, this December. To pump up the expectation of the new release, the industrial rockers have dropped new two singles today, which you can hear below.

HEALTH started off as an experimental, not always understood young band, with little money in their pockets, playing at underground grungy LA clubs. They would have continued playing only those clubs if not for the sudden attention and support of Trent Reznor, who invited them on tour. He offered HEALTH the opportunity to use Nine Inch Nails’ high-tech LED screens and helped them be noticed.

“To let an unknown fucking noise band that’s pissing off your fans use these multi-million dollar things that you’re having to employ people to build and calibrate… it’s just unheard of,” Duzsik recollects.

Rat Wars will be band’s fifth album but the first one since 2019’s Vol. 4: Slaves of Fear, not filled with guest musicians on every single, unlike the previous their 2020′ and 2022′ efforts. The upcoming record is thought to be the most aggressive and painfully personal so far.

Earlier this year, HEALTH launched the track ‘Hateful’, which is now followed by two more singles off of the new album, ‘Children of Sorrow’ and ‘Sicko’. ‘Children of Sorrow’ features Lamb of God’s guitarist Willie Adler and comes with an accompanying video. Give it a look below.

HEALTH will be touring U.S. and Canada in spring 2024 with support coming from Pixel Grip and King Yosef in the U.S. Check out the tour dates and venues below. Rat Wars will be released December 7 via Loma Vista Recordings. The record was produced by Stint, who has worked with Oliver Tree, Demi Lovato and mixed by Lars Stalfors (SALEM, The Neighbourhood).
