YONAKA explore their catchy pop side in new track ‘By The Time You’re Reading This’
The Lady Gaga of Brighton, vocally and visually outstanding Theresa Jarvis and her bandmates are proving they are here to stay with their latest EP, Welcome To My House. The seven-track effort, released last week, shows YONAKA’s more anthemic, catchier pop side, illustrated by the track ‘By The Time You’re Reading This’.

The worldwide breakthrough act, YONAKA immediately attracted listeners’ attention with their debut album in 2019. The latest work, Welcome To My House EP, was born from a whole spectrum of emotions, the band admits.
“This EP helped me express myself in such an all over the place kind of way. I felt love, sadness, I felt beautiful, ugly, powerful, angry. I felt it all,” Jarvis told Alternative Press.
The accompanying music video for ‘By The Time You’re Reading This’ is a performance type of video, with the band simply playing in one room, but with unusual camera angles and the frontwoman’s Marilyn-Manson-like outfit and makeup.
This summer and early fall, YONAKA is headlining and playing major festivals, including No Play Festival, Reading + Leeds and Misery Loves Company Festival in the UK.
