“I’m a liar, I’m a cynic
I’m a sinner, I’m a saint…”, opens All Time Low’s new song
We were all wondering how the guys from All Time Low been spending their days lately. Last time we heard new music from them was over a year ago. “Feels like we’ve been keeping secrets from you for way too long. It’s been hard to keep our mouths shut,” the band admits, introducing their new single ‘Some Kind Of Disaster’.
The video for the new track opens with the singer Alex Gaskarth looking for the room where group therapy sessions take place. He finds the others sitting in a circle, each fighting their inner demons, and joins them. We see people fighting various syndroms: from uncontrollable anger to compulsive stealing. But they can help each other get through it.

The band introduced the new song via Twitter with a sweet post you can see below:
Knowing how powerful ‘Some Kind Of Disaster’ sounds, All Time Low had built quite a labirynth of cryptic teasers over the past couple of weeks. Starting from blacked-out profile pictures of the band to a mysterious panda-themed video on Jan 8 (which was deleted the following day).
The teasers that followed dealt with the evolution of the group’s logo and era. From 2019 Nothing Personal era skull logo all the way to the 2015 album Future Hearts. The new logo starts seeping out slowly but surely in the teaser so you can start collecting the puzzle symbol in your head.
And there are other awesome updates from All Time Low. The band has also announced three intimate shows to take place at the end of January. Tickets are going on sale today, Jan 21, at 3 p.m EST at this location. As AltPress reports, they will only cost $5.00 (wait, what?!). See the performance dates below.

‘Some Kind Of Disaster’ Lyrics:
I’m a liar, I’m a cynic
I’m a sinner, I’m a saint
I’m a loser, I’m a critic
I’m the ghost of my mistakes
And it’s all my fault that I’m still the one you want
What are you after?
Some kind of disaster, yeah
I woke up from a never-ending dream
I shut my eyes at 17
I lost every moment in between
I felt the sun rise up and swallow me, yeah
And it’s all my fault that I’m still the one you want
I’m a liar, I’m a cynic
I’m a sinner, I’m a saint
I’m a loser, I’m a critic
I’m the ghost of my mistakes
And it’s all my fault that I’m still the one you want
So what are you after?
Some kind of disaster
I crashed down from a high that felt so real
I never knew how much it would hurt to feel
You gotta hurt sometimes to learn to heal
You gotta get back up and learn to deal, yeah
And it’s all my fault that I’m still the one you want
I’m a liar, I’m a cynic
I’m a sinner, I’m a saint
I’m a loser, I’m a critic
I’m the ghost of my mistakes
And it’s all my fault that I’m still the one you want
So what are you after?
Some kind of disaster
Well I’ve sung this song a thousand times
I wore the crown, I sold the lie
I lived the life and paid for every crime, yeah
It’s all downhill ’till it’s a climb
Through blood and tears, but I don’t mind
I’ll just keep singing on and on and on
And it’s all my fault that I’m still the one you want
‘Cause I’m a liar, I’m a cynic
I’m a sinner, I’m a saint
I’m a loser, I’m a critic
I’m the ghost of my mistakes
And it’s all my fault that I’m still the one you want
Yeah it’s all my fault that I’m still the one you want
So what are you after?
Some kind of disaster
