Black Veil Brides unite forces with the metal icon to double the power of ‘Revenger’, ahead of the album release

Black Veil Brides are full throttle, unveiling the music from their upcoming album Vindicate chapter by chapter, ahead of its official release on May 8. Following the recently released singles ‘Bleeders’, ‘Hallelujah’, ‘Certainty’, and the title track, Andy Biersack and co. have just premiered another album song, ‘Revenger’, a result of their joint effort with Machine Head. ‘Revenger’ is the seventh piece from the forthcoming record, which is already making waves in the metal world and beyond.

Just like the track title suggests, ‘Revenger’ immerses the listener into the world of revenge and vindication, seeking retribution that can deliver proper justice. Speaking about the collaboration, Biersack explained that the song’s power asked for a voice besides his own, and inviting Flynn was an easy choice to make. The band had held great respect for Flynn long before they reached the current success level. When Black Veil Brides were going through their turbulent, critical early years, the metal icon had their back and helped spread the word.

“Robb was one of the first people in a respected metal band to go, ‘Hey, this band’s fucking awesome, and you guys are wrong about them,'” Biersack told Kerrang! magazine in a recent interview.

Thematically, ‘Revenger’ continues the album narrative of internal struggles and traumas that defined Biersack’s mindset in his teenage years — and how his perspective of seeking revenge has since shifted. “I came to find that revenge actually isn’t what it is, because there’s no victory,” says the frontman.

Vindicate is one of the band’s most ambitious records to date — self-produced by Biersack and guitarist Jake Pitts, featuring seven-string guitars, a full orchestra, and a gospel choir scored by multi-instrumentalist Jinxx. The album has already crossed into pop culture territory, with “Woe & Pain” becoming the soundtrack of the WWE hype package for Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton at WrestleMania 42.

Despite worldwide success, Biersack and the band remain humble, attributing the band’s growth to grassroots and stressing the importance of staying open and honest with their listeners: “The band has stayed afloat and grown in size and scale because of a sincere connection with the audience.”

The new single ‘Revenger’ is out now on all streaming platforms. The band’s seventh studio album Vindicate is available for pre-order ahead of its May 8th release (via Spinefarm) at this location.
