Andy Black’s new track ‘Louder Than Your Love’ was co-written with MCR’s Gerard Way

Andy Black’s upcoming record The Shadow Side reveals surprise after surprise. The new song ‘Louder Than Your Love’ does not only feature My Chemical Romance’s Mikey Way on bass, but was actually co-written with Gerard Way. Black Veil Bride’s fronman shared the teaser of the star-studded track via his Instagram account (see below).
The Shadow Side album is due out May 6 but we’ve already tasted three tracks from the new record, with the first one skyrocketing to the top of the charts worldwide, ‘We Don’t Have To Dance’. In addition, the black and white video for the song has collected 4,5 million views. Watch the video here.
At the end of March Biersack dropped a second track from his new album – ‘Stay Alive’, which was recorded in collaboration with Blink-182/Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba and his wife Juliet Simms. It was closely followed by the track ‘Ribcage’, which you can listen to at this location.
And in case you’ve missed the big news, Biersack and Asking Alexandria’s guitarist Ben Bruce will play leading roles in a new movie American Satan, penned by Sumerian Records founder Ash Avildsen. Biersack will be playing a character named Johnny, a rock musician. A week ago, the singer posted a an update on Twitter, reading: “And that’s a wrap on #AmericanSatan. Thank you so much to @ashavildsen for believing in me and giving me my first lead role in a feature film.” So it seems that Biersack’s part of work on the film is over.
Andy Black’s tour in support of his solo album will start in the UK and run May 10 through May 20, with the final show in London. Punk band Creeper will serve as support at UK shows. Then Biersack will fly back to the US for an extensive tour leg booked into early September. You can check out the full list of upcoming Andy Black tour dates and locations below.
